Meal Planning Is Hell. These Apps Can Help!

Meal Planning Is Hell. These Apps Can Help!

5 min read

If you are the main planner of meals for a family, every day - 3 times/day you are threading the needle trying to figure out what to make for:

  • Breakfast that is nutritious and not just sugar flakes, but keeping picky kids happy
  • Kids lunchboxes that keep coming back half eaten
  • Separate Dinners for kids that hate vegetables, or any spices or flavor, and then the actual dinner you Parents will enjoy, and hopefully is something fresh that you haven't had a thousand times

All the while figuring out what foods are in the fridge to make these meals, versus what you need to pick up at the grocery store next.

This loop is all just on repeat, every day...if this all sounds too familiar you can agree it is all just so mentally draining!

So what can we do to fix it? We went looking for solutions.

What is Noom All About?

This is the best-known meal planning app out there, so it should be helpful. Has it earned its fame?

Meal Planning is Too Hard (Who Has Time to Cook?)

What if I just want the food made for me?

Factor, sometimes called Factor75, deliver a variety of prepared foods for people who want special keto, high-protein, and low-carb meals.

We did a quick check and your first box of meals are 50% off so for 12 meals. Your next 4 boxes are 20% off, but when you finally have to pay full price it would just be around ... well you can check yourself. :)

The meals look really tasty and you have 42 meals to choose from each week with some custom meal groupings if you are looking to increase your protein, or have a balanced plan if you're on GLP-1.

Unfortunately Factor75 is only available in 16 major cities, so if you are located outside of these it's not going to be a good fit.

How does HelloFresh Food Delivery Compare?

Compare this with the largest Meal delivery service in the US, HelloFresh that is available in the entire lower 48 US states.

So how's the food? Well, they did this fun promo with the rapper T-Pain and came up with some recipes and this tiktoker @nickdigiovanni tested it out for himself and gave it a 9.6/10, and it looks so good!

We did a quick comparison HelloFresh offers the same intro 50% off, so 12 meals but it's about 30% cheaper than Factor, it was literally only about the cost of a latte. But when you have to pay full price, it's still very reasonable. It just makes a ton of sense to try it out, when you think how much groceries are these days, the price of just a piece of chicken is about the same as this entire meal.

You can choose from over 100+ meals every week, so definitely a lot more choice, and cheaper than Factor75.

We give top marks to HelloFresh, try it today.
